Beachy Waves Hair Tutorial

IMG_9443Olá minhas queridas leitoras!!

Hello my dear readers!! There is nothing that screams Summer than messy beachy wavey hair (that's a lot of "y's"!)! Here is my version of the look. Let's get to the tutorial!

This look starts off in the shower, it's important that you use a shampoo and conditioner that help create volume and texture in the hair, so later on you don't need to apply as much product or heat to get the desired affect. I used the Tresemmé Perfectly (UN)Done Shampoo and the Tresemmé Perfectly (UN)Done Conditioner. Then allow hair to air dry completely, in my case this helps create waves and texture.

IMG_93802.

Before applying any type of heat to the hair it's important that you use a heat protector, I used the Syoss Heat Protector. Then I divided my hair in three sections with a hair clip so it would be easier to curl. I started off by curling from the bottom part of my hair and working my way up until no hair was left. Start by picking up strand of hair that is the size of around two fingers and start to curl hair with wand away from the face, then pick up another strand and curl toward the face and continue until there is no more hair left, I like this technique because it creates more natural looking curls. I used the Rolls Hot Dune 90 Curling Iron, it's a very small wand, which is necessary for this look, the bigger the wand the looser the curls and we want tighter waves.

Now comes the fun part...messing it up! This look wouldn't be beachy if it didn't have that textured look to it, and you can only achieve that by going to the beach (eheh) or with a texturizing spray, I used the Tresemmé Perfectly (UN)Done Sea Salt Spray.
